Cafe Daniel Moser
Rotenturmstraße 14
Wien

Austria

Cafe Daniel Moser, located in the heart of the Austrian capital, is one the first coffee houses in Europe! It was established in 1685 by an Armenian merchant from Turkey named Johannes Diodato (Hovhannes Astvatsatur). In the cafe, that now bears the name of then-mayor of Vienna, Daniel Moser, Diodato’s memory is still honored. There is a bronze plaque on the wall near the bar with a brief history of the cafe.
