Leo V was the last king of Armenia. After he was deposed, the King of Castille, Juan I (John I), paid his ransom to the rulers of Egypt, where he was held captive, and invited him to Spain, he made him lord of Madrid, Villareal and Andujar. The city has lnamed a street after him.

Leo finished his life in Paris and his tomb can still be visited at the Basilique Saint Denis (link below).
